Nephite Destruction

This morning, during testimony meeting, a lady mentioned that the Nephites had been "taken out". I wondered why she didn't say "wiped out", "waxed", "iced", or "offed".

Isn't the correct term actually "Destroyed via Genocide"? It was genocide when they were hunted down one by one and killed. Much more accurate than "taken out". However, I applaud her for her testimony. It's not that easy to stand in front of 200 people and bear your soul.

I believe that "taken out" is a very good term. For were they not the children of the covenant who abided not by the covenant? Did not Christ, through His own mouth and the mouth of His prophets - since the time of Lehi, even Joseph of Egypt, that the remnant of the House of Israel which was left, particularly those of Nephi, when the time came that they were fully ripe in iniquity be wiped from the face of the earth? Therefore, in this context, I would say that "taken out" is a great term - for they were "taken out" of this life to meet that God which gave them life and to be judged according to His wisdom, mercy, and justice according to the deeds of the flesh; which deeds were wickedness, for they had willfully chosen to reject their Redeemer? ... Thank you :)
